Solo Audition Update
The opportunity to sign up for the Bach Magnificat solo auditions was last night - Oct 19th. The auditions will take place this Wed. Oct 26th before rehearsal. (specific times to be determined soon) If you were not at rehearsal, or missed signing up for some reason, please contact Sheri ASAP to sign up for an audition slot. They are determining how early to begin based on the number of people signed up for each solo.

Solo Audition Sign-Ups next week
At our next rehearsal on Oct 19th, there will be sign-up sheets for those who would like to audition for the solos in the Bach Magnificat. The auditions will take place before rehearsal on Oct 26th, and begin however early they need to in order to accommodate everyone who would like to audition. You may audition for more than one of the solo parts if you wish.

Audition Opportunities for "Magnificat" Solos
Last night Mark told us that he would be selecting the soloists for the Bach "Magnificat" from our own chorus members.
If you are interested in auditioning, work on the piece in the "Magnificat" that you would like to audition for. (Mark recommended hiring a pianist to practice with you as opposed to just using a recording.) Someone other than Mark will hear the first auditions and then select a certain number of members for each solo slot to come to call backs. Then at call backs, Mark will hear the auditions and make the final selection of the soloists. A few weeks before the concert, a vocal coach will come in to work with the soloists.
The solo auditions will be held on Wednesday, October 26th. The time will MOST LIKELY be from 6:00-7:00, but is subject to change.

From Sally - New ECSC Season
Greetings Fellow Choristers,
Our spring practice season starts on Jan. 26th @ 7pm. The music will cost $8, payable to ECSC.
Please find your German pronunciation guides or ask me for another copy.
Auditions will be @ 6pm on Jan.26 so please invite your singing friends. We could welcome more voices for this concert on Apr. 30th.
Keep yourself healthy, use your humidifier, drink plenty of fluids; as we will need all our pipes for this powerful piece. The cover on this music is soft paper so it may be helpful to use some type of 9x12 folder to support your pencil when making marks. This will make sense when you see the music.

ECSC Fall Schedule Information - from Sheri
Hi Everyone –
I hope you are enjoying the remnants of summer – I know I'm trying to keep it from slipping away too soon!
Below are the Rehearsal Schedule (to date) and the Holiday Concert Program for the fall semester. Please note that we will be scheduling auditions this year from 5:30 – 6:30 on September 15th and September 22nd. Interested parties should contact me so I can assign them a time slot. Of course, if you convince someone at the last second please let me know by phone and we can do what we need to do in order to accommodate them, especially tenors and basses!
You will be receiving a paper copy of the complete Rehearsal Schedule among other important information items on September 29th when we will hold our first Town Hall meeting of the season. In the meantime, I hope the information listed below will help you plan your fall activities.
Please review the dates carefully. If you are unable to make the mandatory rehearsals it is respectfully requested that you adhere to the established attendance policy and join us at another time when you are able to meet the obligation.
Looking forward to seeing you all 3 weeks from tomorrow!
