Last night Mark told us that he would be selecting the soloists for the Bach "Magnificat" from our own chorus members.
If you are interested in auditioning, work on the piece in the "Magnificat" that you would like to audition for. (Mark recommended hiring a pianist to practice with you as opposed to just using a recording.) Someone other than Mark will hear the first auditions and then select a certain number of members for each solo slot to come to call backs. Then at call backs, Mark will hear the auditions and make the final selection of the soloists. A few weeks before the concert, a vocal coach will come in to work with the soloists.
The solo auditions will be held on Wednesday, October 26th. The time will MOST LIKELY be from 6:00-7:00, but is subject to change.
