From Sheri:
Hi Everyone – Just a few reminders to all of us…
Call Time - Two Options:
1.) ATTEND THE PRE-CONCERT LECTURE: Arrive at the Garde and find a seat up front by 6:45pm. Pre-concert lecture begins at 7:00pm.
2.) SKIP THE LECTURE: Arrive at the Church by 7:15pm
We will warm up at the Church at 7:30, and then proceed to the Garde and wait upstairs in the Oasis Room until the intermission when we take our place on stage.
Quiet on The Set!
Please remember that we should be seen and not heard until we're singing. Shushing your neighbor is equally distracting, so the best thing to do is not be the one who starts it.
Risers
Just as a suggestion, please consider keeping one foot slightly ahead of the other and touch your calf to the riser behind you. This not only stabilizes you, it stabilizes the entire riser, thus eliminating the rocking motion.
Physical Comfort
Please be mindful to relax your legs while standing, meaning try not to lock your knees. Also, if you feel at all faint, please lower yourself to a seated position immediately! Neighbors be mindful of neighbors – If someone needs assistance please offer it to the level of your comfort and ability.
Colognes and Hairspray
Please refrain from wearing cologne, perfume, hairspray, etc. We have people in the Chorus who are sensitive to scents.
Diet Mindfulness
Always a fun topic – Please avoid gaseous and pungent foods such as beans, garlic and onions. The reasons should be obvious.
Coats, Purses, etc.
On concert evening, all coats, purses & bags should be put in the dressing room back stage. Nothing should be brought on stage.
Questions??
You may still have questions and I want to make sure they are answered, so please don't hesitate to talk with me, your Section Leaders, or anyone else who is a seasoned ECSC member. We're all here to help make this a fun experience for everyone! (please check your email for section leader contact information)
See you tonight – Break a leg!
Cheers,
Sheri
